Popular Nike Hypervenom Phantom II "Electro Flare"
The pick of the "Electro Flare" pack for us, this one. Combining "Hyper Grape" with Black and Volt Nike produce a crisply executed Hypervenom II Electro Flare colour up for Fall 15.
Bright "Volt" overflows the sole-plate of the boot to splatter across the heel and Swoosh to compliment the metallic magic of the "Hyper Grape" upper. There's something about these that are going to look the absolute dogs on pitch; at first look it's low-key but these are deceptively loud on the turf.

Nike Magista Poison Green/Total Orange Colorway
Nike’s Highlight pack has brought color back to the field just as spring and the colors associated with it pops out around the world. The new look for spring 2015 pull out the detail colors used on the swoosh and soles of the ‘Shine Through’ Collection.
The silo paint job arguably has the most depth with a 3-tone poison green used on both the Obra and Opus. The outer NikeSkin is slightly darker than the flyknit base and dynamic fit collar of the Obra. There is a dark green at the base of the cleat that runs over to the sole. The Total Orange then pops out on the more subdued green. The swoosh is outlined in black along with the collar on both the Obra and Opus.
The black details is continued on the sole of the cleat with a great combination of the poison green and total orange.
The Magista Highlight pack colorway will be worn by adidas players, including Arda Turan, still competing in the UEFA Champions League.
What do you think of the new look for the Magista? Do you like the 2-tone green? What detail stands out most to you?

Nike Unveil New Magista Colorway
Nike have unveiled a fresh look for the Nike Magista in the form of the new Black/Volt/Blue colourway.
This latest Magista is the first in a new round of colourways that Nike will be introducing for all four of its silos in the coming days. Released amid some fanfare back in March, the Cheap Magista was a groundbreaking release from Nike as it featured some never-before seen features. Most notable was the Flyknit upper, first seen on the brand’s running shoes in 2012 and making its football debut. Consisting of a 3D woven material designed to feel more like a second sock than anything else, FlyKnit was a major new addition as it not only improves touch on the ball but also, with the addition of a NikeSkin layer, is very waterproof.
The other big addition was the Dynamic Fit Collar, probably the most unconventional part of the cleat. The mid-top collar was unlike anything seen on a soccer cleat but had a very basic logic behind, making the movement of ankle and foot as seamless as possible and creating a more snug and secure fit. Nike were so keen on it that soon after its introduction on the Magista, the Dynamic Fit Collar was brought to the Mercurial Superfly.
In our review of the Magista back in December our reviewer cited comfort and overall performance as the main factors behind the Magista being “some of the best cleats I have ever reviewed.” The Magista is also backed up by an even more impressive line up of players, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Mario Gotze, Christian Erisken and Andres Iniesta all avid wearers of the Magista.
You can get your hands on this new Magista colourway from today at ussportscleats.com.

Nike Magista Obra FG – Review
By Ian Ennis – Over the years, I have had many Nike cleats. I have always been a big fan of the Nike line ever since I got my first pair of Tiempos when I was little. Throughout the years, every cleat I have owned has had superior quality and touch like no other boot. Needless to say, I was very excited when my Magistas finally showed up at my front door.
I knew from teammates that these cleats were supposed to be up there with the best available, so I couldn’t wait to put them on. The first thing I noticed when I took them out of the box was their flashy neon blue color as well as the interesting patterns on the shoes themselves. Just by looking at them, I could tell they were made for comfort and touch by the way they were shaped.
The cleats were made using Nike’s Flyknit technology, which is built to act as a second skin for the ultimate touch. It felt as if I wasn’t wearing a cleat at all when I struck the ball. The pattern on the side and front has a spectrum of yellow to orange ovals, which I have never seen before, but definitely like.
The biggest difference between other Nike cleats I have owned and the Magistas is the lack of a tongue for the laces as well as the ankle sock, or Dynamic Fit collar, attached to the top of the cleat.
At first, I was admittedly skeptical if all the hype was true and the changes actually made the cleat better. After trying them on and playing in a few games, I am a huge supporter of the new changes.
The ankle sock acts as not only a support, but also it is there to help make movement of your ankle and foot as seamless as possible. Other cleats are lower cut on the sides and can prevent certain ankle rotations that are necessary for striking the ball. This is no longer a problem with the Magistas. With the added bonus of not having an annoying tongue poking you with every change in direction, the Magistas have the ultimate “feels like you’re playing with no shoe at all” mentality.
The cleats felt so natural; there was no worry of blisters or any discomfort whatsoever. I could see the Nike Magistas being worn by any position on the field. They are light (7.2 ounces), efficient, and extremely comfortable. They can be used for scoring just as much as they could be used for making a goal saving block.
The cleats performed well when I played in some games. The studs kept good traction and acceleration was easy. Their touch, comfort, striking, everything was perfect. The Magistas did not show any sign of damage after the first couple of times using them. They were basically molded to my foot by the 3rd or 4th wear, which was something I had never experienced before, but appreciated. It only took a few touches on the ball to feel comfortable with them, so it would only take a game or 2 to be totally broken in.
The Magiastas are some of the best cleats I have reviewed. These will definitely be my first choice cleats for the foreseeable future.

Nike Elastico Superfly IC – Modify Your Indoor Game!
If you are an indoor player looking to seriously modify your indoor
game, then Nike has a brand new shoe for you to check out. Officially
released these week , the Nike Elastico Superfly IC is the first indoor shoe of its kind, designed with a dynamic mid-cut
collar. This is an advanced shoe that brings all the innovation and
technological benefits of the Mercurial Superfly to the court.
Working with former Portland Thorns and USWNT player Marian Dougherty, who now plays a key role in the development of Nike’s Football footwear, Dekovic took the performance benefits of the cleated Mercurial Superfly and added some important details for the small-sided player. The upper is almost identical to the Mercurial Superfly firm ground shoe developed for Cristiano Ronado, while the shoe is distinctly low-profile meaning the foot is much closer to the ground than on previous Elasticos. Dougherty stated that:
In addition to the above design details, the shoe features an extra layer of NIKESKIN in areas where small-sided footballers experience additional abrasion on their footwear. Visually, these are some unusual looking indoor shoes and they are definitely going to look extremely odd when worn on court.

Nike Launch The Academy Pack
After intensifying the heat Nike are dimming the lights with a four-silo, blackout collection wrapped under the cover of darkness. The Mercurial Superfly IV, Magista Obra, Tiempo V and HyperVenom go back to black with designs inspired by football academies.
Nike's popular blackout collection has previously dropped under the 'Stealth Pack' title but the latest series arrives with inspiration from professional youth football academies, some of which adopt policies where all their players have to wear all black boots until they earn the right to mix things up when they reach the first team.
Nike's own academy, based at St George's Park, are amongst the first players to test blacked-out versions of Nike’s boots before the boots and their colors are officially revealed to the world, hence more inspiration behind the Academy Pack label. Bright coloured boots are always associated with bold, confident players but there's something undeniably cool about a black-out, a boot to be worn by the player with understated confidence that doesn't need luminous footwear to stand out.
Black gradient changes land across the collection that amplify the design features of each boot, along with subtle pops of colour on the insoles and sole-plates. Back to black, a visually level playing field, take your pick of silos.

The alternative to HypervenomX Proximo: HypervenomX Finale
Nike FootballX last week got a new member of the family, in
the shape of the HypervenomX. We focused on the Proximo at the launch,
but there is so much more to the HypervenomX than just the one model.
Not everyone loves the Nike Dynamic Fit Collar and for them Nike have
developed the Finale.
The story of Nike’s Finale starts way before the introduction of Nike FootballX this year. It was actually the silo that helped create the foundation for all Nike’s indoor/street shoes. The Finale has since then evolved in several different ways and today comes in two separate versions: A MercurialX Finale and now a HypervenomX Finale.
The HypervenomX Finale is fundamentally developed with the same focus points as the HypervenomX Proximo, but with a few adjustments. On the one hand the Proximo is made with the same newly constructed NikeSkin, as on the Phantom II, while the Finale is made with the same upper as we saw on the first generation of Hypervenom. The upper and the removal of the Dynamic Fit collar are the two biggest differences between the Proximo and Finale.
Similarities are however far from at a premium. Nike have also used their Flywire technology on the Finale, as have they with the low Phylon midsole, which is the same on both the Proximo and Finale. Basically the Finale is a genius alternative for the player who doesn’t feel like he needs the Dynamic Fit Collar. And ohh yeah, the Finale is naturally available in both IC and TF models.
Are you a Hypervenom Fan and do you love a good round of street football? Then the new HypervenomX silo is definitely your thing. The question is, are you a Finale or Proximo kind of person? The choice is yours.

New Nike Elastico Superfly 2014 Boot Launched
As the name implies, the Nike Elastico Superfly 2014 Indoor Boot is a combination of the most popular small-sided boot, the Nike Elastico and the most popular firm ground football boot, the Nike Mercurial silo. The upper is made from the FlyKnit material, which is also used for the Nike Mercurial Superfly and the Nike Magista Boot.
The innovation this year from Nike Football has been unprecedented. But our players want innovation for every kind of football they play so we took the design insights developed with Cristiano Ronaldo for the Mercurial Superfly and brought them into the small-sided game with the Elastico Superfly, said Denis Dekovic, Design Director, Nike Football.
The FlyKnit upper offers a sock-like fit, which is of particular importance playing on small-sided fields with less space. The Nike Elastico Superfly 2014 Boot will be released in the familiar Hyper Punch Boot Colorway, while we will likely see more colorways in the upcoming weeks.
Made to feel like a part of your leg, the dynamic fit collar will allow players to make fast movements with the needed stability, a key aspect of small-sided football games. The FlyKnit upper is coated with the NikeSkin technology, made for a perfect ball control in all weather conditions. The Nike All Conditions Control technology was introduced in late 2012.
The upper is almost identical to the Mercurial Superfly we developed with Cristiano, but with some key details that small-sided players have highlighted to us and we see from playing as well as watching the game, said Dougherty, Nike Football Product Manager.
The major difference between the Nike Mercurial Superfly Boot and the spectacular Nike Elastico Boot versions is the outsole. The Nike Elastico Superfly 2014 Boot features the same outsole as previous Nike Elastico Boots, while the normal Superfly IV Carbon fiber outsole is made for firm ground surfaces.
It is expected that the Nike Mercurial Superfly 2014 Elastico Boot will retail at approximately €155, making them much more expensive than previous indoor boots. In exchange, you receive the most innovative indoor boot yet. Update: The Nike Elastico Superfly Boot will be available soon from Nike.com and delivered from June 10, 2014.

While players such as Rooney and Kane opted for the low-cut Nike Hypervenom Phinish Cleats, most Nike athletes sported the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots.
Nike Hypervenom 1 vs Hypervenom 2
The most obvious difference between the two generations is that the Nike
Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots feature the revolutionary Dynamic Fit
collar, also known as high-top boot design. Made for better lockdown,
the Dynamic Fit collar is designed to offer enhanced comfort and a
sock-like fit.
Even though the Dynamic Fit collar is reported to cause distractions for some players, it offers an iconic look and the sense of wearing a revolutionary product. Players like Robert Lewandoswki and Paul Pogba prefer the Dynamic Fit collar, while Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane opted for the low-cut design (Nike Hypervenom Phinish).
So it's a matter of a taste whether you prefer the Dynamic Fit collar or the traditional low-cut design, while there seems to be no fundamental advantage of the included sock.

Nike Hypervenom Upper
The Nikeskin upper of the Nike
Hypervenom Phantom 2 Cleats features Flywire for better lock-down.
Flywire is the first of many enhancements developed throughout the
design process of the upper.
"Every component of the original Hypervenom evolved into something better for Hypervenom II"The Flywire is integrated in the new mesh upper of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots, which is designed to amplify touch, equipped with ACC and Nikeskin. But only time and extensive testing will tell if the upper of the Nike Hypervenom 2 Boots outperforms the NikeSkin honeycomb upper of the first-gen Nike Hypervenom.
Nike Hypervenom Sole Plate
The sole plate of the first and second generation of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots are almost identical, designed for agility on Firm Ground surfaces with conical studs. For added comfort, Nike uses a softer compound for the sole plate than the original Hypervenom for additional comfort, while Nike also added a stunning graphic to make a bold statement on the pitch.Nike Hypervenom Price
