The alternative to HypervenomX Proximo: HypervenomX Finale

Nike FootballX last week got a new member of the family, in the shape of the HypervenomX. We focused on the Proximo at the launch, but there is so much more to the HypervenomX than just the one model. Not everyone loves the Nike Dynamic Fit Collar and for them Nike have developed the Finale.




The story of Nike’s Finale starts way before the introduction of Nike FootballX this year. It was actually the silo that helped create the foundation for all Nike’s indoor/street shoes. The Finale has since then evolved in several different ways and today comes in two separate versions: A MercurialX Finale and now a HypervenomX Finale.





The HypervenomX Finale is fundamentally developed with the same focus points as the HypervenomX Proximo, but with a few adjustments. On the one hand the Proximo is made with the same newly constructed NikeSkin, as on the Phantom II, while the Finale is made with the same upper as we saw on the first generation of Hypervenom. The upper and the removal of the Dynamic Fit collar are the two biggest differences between the Proximo and Finale.



Similarities are however far from at a premium. Nike have also used their Flywire technology on the Finale, as have they with the low Phylon midsole, which is the same on both the Proximo and Finale. Basically the Finale is a genius alternative for the player who doesn’t feel like he needs the Dynamic Fit Collar. And ohh yeah, the Finale is naturally available in both IC and TF models.

The HypervenomX Proximo is made with a toppart in smooth and flexible leather, that quickly adapts to your feet. Furthermore Nike, has covered the toe with suede that ads durability and strength. 

Aggressive lockdown effect
As we can also see it on the new Nike Hypervenom Phantom II, the upper on the HypervenomX Proximo is supported by the Nike Flywire cables.
In cooperation with bio mechanism experts, the Nike designers analysed the foot's metatarsal bones and how they move. What Nike learned was that these exact bones are your foremost tool for taking advantage of your full movability. Therefore, Nike have implemented their Flywire technology in the upper, hereby providing the lockdown needed for optimal stability. The cables have been strategically placed to giver your first and fifth metatarsal the freedom of movement needed to allow you to keep your natural freedom of movement.

Dynamic Fit Collar provides the optimal fit
Similar to the MercurialX Proximo and the MagistaX Proximo, the HypervenomX Proximo is equipped with the Nike Dynamic Fit Collar. The highly popular collar allows your boots to feel like a natural extension of your leg.
Furthermore, Nike have updated the boot’s heel counter with an asymmetrical heel stitching. This change frees your achilles, thereby allowing you to move more freely. 

Optimal shock absorption
The shoe comes with an outsole made of a durable rubber, which is designed give a good grip both to the surface and the ball, so you will always experience optimal ball control in your small area play.
In addition, the HypervenomX Proximo is equipped with a Phylon midsole, which provides comfort and shock absorption, while still keeping the profile of the shoe low.
