Closer look | Kaká's Unique Adidas Copa Mundial Boots and Shinpads

He definitely got the most classic boots. Kaká has been wearing blackout Adidas Copa Mundial Soccer Cleats for almost one year now, and we now got a closer look at his unique blackout Adidas Copa Mundial Cleats and his custom shinpads.

Kaká had been wearing Adidas Predator Football Boots for the majority of his career, while he switched to the most classic Adidas Football Boot when he made his debut for Orlando City in early 2015. As Kaká has been wearing blackout boots for several months now, it's almost certain that the Three Stripes and Kaká have gone separate ways.

Kaká's Black-Out Adidas Copa Mundial 2015 Boots

Close-up picture of Kaká's 2015 Boots and Shinpads.

Based on the famous Black / White Adidas Copa Mundial Football Boots, Kaká's modified boots feature an all-black upper with no visible brandings. White applications can be seen on the heel area and the tongue of the boot.

While Adidas launched a blackout Adidas Copa Mundial Soccer Boot in August 2014, the Brazilian midfielder Kaka blacked-out his cleats. Therefore, Kaká's Boots feature a contrasting white sole plate.

Apart from the blackout design, Kaka is wearing a non-modified version of the classic boots. Introduced in 1979 for the 1982 World Cup, the Adidas Copa Mundial is the most iconic boot on the market featuring a Kangaroo leather upper and a classic outsole with molded studs. It's the only Adidas Football Boot which is still made in Germany.

Kaká's Shinpads boast a one-of-a-kind design with the names of his children Luca and Isabella as well as the lettering "We Belong To Jesus".

Pure class. Would you like to see more players lacing up in the classic Adidas Copa Mundial Boots, which weighs in at 331 grams (11.7 oz). Let us know in the comments below.

Adidas releasing Primeknit upper Ace in autumn!

Many times we praised adidas Ace for variety of uppers that we could choose from when we would be decided on that particular model. We know that this is the line that adidas has also big plans for. We mean the Primemesh upper boot in Ace second generation that we showed here. Starting today we know that things will get even better, and that's going to happen in current generation! On autumn, with the release of solar orange/black Ace adidas will present fourth upper version of those - made of Primeknit!
adidas-ace-15-1-primeknit-tepy-korrki-football-boots_1
Leaked pictures show us many things and let us know what may we expect from that boot. As you can see it's not like earlier cleats made with use of Primeknit, which is adidas version of Nike's Flyknit. Probably only the orange part will be made from it and the rest stays the same, including the sole. For us it's a good move. Doing a full knitted upper would just mean another limited edition boot that no one could get his  hands on. Here it's played simple and that's to that we will get another upper option. Probably lighter and thinner that previous. Great!

We hope that this type of mixing Primeknit with standard Ace upper will let adidas release them in quantities, that won't have to be called as limited. We heard, and that was probably the case with recent release of 10 thousand pairs of adidas Primeknit football boot, that they just have to make just limited editions thanks to Nike winning a case where they sued adidas for copying their idea. And won. Future is looking interesting for Ace 15.1

As we can also see it on the new Nike Hypervenom Phantom II, the upper on the HypervenomX Proximo is supported by the Nike Flywire cables.

Nike Mercurial Tech Craft: The speed boot gets a leather makeover

A leather upper on a Mercurial. Not a mix that sounds completely natural. The material is however not entirely foreign to the silo, which has appeared in leather a couple of times. Now Nike bring back the kangaroo leather on the Mercurial with the Tech Craft Pack.

It’s hard to argue against that Nike’s Mercurial Superfly is among the most popular boots in the world, if not the most popular. Nike also quickly discovered that this is the silo, for which people longed for a leather upper the most.

The Tech Craft Pack is the result of this demand. By fusing leather and Flyknit together, Nike have created a new football boot, which combines the best of two worlds. This combination was important for Nike to have, because it wasn’t just about putting a leather upper on their Mercurial. It was first and foremost about maintaining the attributes, which makes the Mercurial so popular.

Nike have therefore developed K-Fuse. A technology that allows Nike to fuse kangaroo leather onto Flyknit. For the Mercurial it was important for Nike to maintain the minimalistic expression, which this silo represents. Nike therefore designed the leather upper without any texture, apart from the microtexture, which the Flyknit upper delivers. That way Nike stay faithful to the silo we know and love.

The Tech Craft Pack is launched as an alternative to players, who want comfort, touch and the protection a leather boot provides. We have already seen Alexis Sanchez train in them and we can’t wait to see him wear them into action (We hope he does in any case). Will you be following in his footsteps?

Nike Unleash Superfly CR7 “Silverware” With Shimmer Effect

Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Silverware
Another day, and another pretty spectaculr boot release that features a lot of attitude. The latest Cristiano Ronaldo custom boot release has arrived and this flashy edition is sure to be a fan favorite pretty quickly.
The Mercurial Superfly CR7 Silverware leverages the unique shimmer effect that initially debuted in black last October. The new colorway is inspired by the silver trophies elite players like Ronaldo pursue this time of year. The shimmering silver accompanies an obsidian Dynamic Fit collar and an orange pop of color on the Swoosh and the CR7 logo.
Check out the CR7 Silverware Guide.
Nobody shines on the pitch quite like Cristiano Ronaldo. The same can be said of his new Mercurial Superfly CR7 Silverware boots.
CR7 Silverware Upper
CR7 Logo on Superfly Silverware
Given the “drought spell” that Ronaldo is going through at the moment, he will probably be pretty excited to get his feet out of the Highlight Superfly and into something with a little more shimmer. Sometimes a change can be the difference between real good and worldly good!
In terms of the Superfly IV and performance, they are built specifically for speed. With a dynamic mid-cut collar that locks down the player in sprint mode, a micro-textured Nike Flyknit upper that provides a barefoot-like feel, and a highly responsive carbon-fiber plate designed to further provide explosive speed in all directions, this is about as advanced as we have ever seen a boot go.
If you are looking to order a pair, there is currently a 48hr presale going on through the NikeApp. For those that don’t have it, they will be released later this week on ussportscleats.com.

Hate all you want - the new 11pro is the definition of elegance

Adidas kicked off 2015 in fine fashion by introducing an SL version of their 11Pro. Their biggest New Year’s bomb was however introduced this Monday, when their There Will Be Haters campaign saw the light of day. Lead by a new generation of f50 adizero, adidas have really poked at all the haters. We here take a look at the collections ambassador for elegance. This is the 11Pro.

The message is clear! No matter what you do, if you do it well, there will be haters. So why not take their negative energy and turn it into positive fuel for your football engines? That is exactly what adidas have done with this new campaign. This new White/Blue/Black Adidas 11Pro   is far from an exception and represents everything the 11Pro stands for.

But what is the 11Pro really? If you asked around you would probably get quite different answers, but looking objectively at it, the 11Pro represents the elegant touch. A touch that adidas have really brought back with this new generation, which is, after a time without it, made with kangaroo leather again. Adidas have therefore made a no-nonsense football boot. Yep, haters, give it your best shot.

And along with the new leather upper adidas also introduce a new grid construction, which both gives a unique design expression, but also plays a central role in giving the boot its trademark high standard comfort. The grid-look makes up the boots skeleton and makes sure your foot is locked in and firmly placed on the sole.

While adidas undisputedly have created a technologically upgraded version of the 11Pro with their new generation, the master of elegance has also been given a boost in terms of look and style. Particularly in the case of this colourway, we just have to tip our hats. Although this colourway hardly exudes innovation and is far from a new look, its undeniable class and breathtaking poise makes it very special indeed.

It’s impossible to get around the fact that the design is very reminiscent of the one we saw on last year’s launch around this time. A colourway that one of the 11Pro’s biggest stars Toni Kroos has been very attached to. Maybe this release is adidas’ way of saying: “Kroos, stop hating on the new 11pro and start playing in it!”

Whether the new colourway can lure Toni Kroos into the new 11Pro is something we will have to wait and see, but we won’t hate on him if he does. In fact, we won’t be slinging hate the way of anyone playing in adidas’ newest collection. Only if we get too jealous of their boots…

Theo Walcott testing blackout adidas prototype

Adidas are keeping busy, and it looks like they are preparing something very special for us - Theo Walcott has now joined the list of players, who are testing the blackout version of the next adidas football boot.

It wouldn't take long after Theo Walcott had made his surprising move to adidas, before he was allowed to wear their latest prototype. The pacey Englishman trained, before the FA Cup clash with Manchester United, wearing the same blackout boot, as we have seen Gareth Bale and Thomas Müller wearing as well.

And this blackout model gives us a good idea of what to expect, including what appears to be a taller collar, attached to the upper - something adidas have actually been testing for a while. Also, the pictures reveal some graphic clues, and we definitely expect a very interesting design.

So far the specs and details on the adidas football boot are secret, we can already now reveal that you have reason to look forward to what will be on the feet of Bale, Walcott and the other speedy players… Stay tuned!

What are your initial thoughts on Theo Walcott’s adidas test boot? Are you liking the taller collar, or do you find it too spacey?

Nike Hypervenom: Two years of attacking masterclass

The stage was set. 67.000 fans were seated at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia. Millions sat huddled around the tv-screen across the globe. On the pitch was a young and ambitious Brazilian named Neymar Jr. wearing a brand new pair of football boots. They were called the Hypervenom and after just three minutes, the thing everyone was hoping for happened…

Neymar hammered the ball past a helpless Japanese goalkeeper. It was the opening match of the Confederations Cup and while 200 million Brazilians erupted with jubilation, so did the folk at Nike HQ. Neymar had not just scored a goal. He had done so in front of the entire world, wearing Nike’s latest innovation. A new silo for the deadly striker. And this was just the beginning of an impressive success story.

The Nike Hypervenom has now been around for two years and in the two years Nike haven’t touched the construction at all. This just stands testament to the boots absolute quality and how incredibly well constructed it is.

When the Hypervenom emerged Nike really emphasised how this boot was made with four parameters in mind: Fit, Touch, Traction and style. This kick-started an entirely new breed of football boot, with an upper of NikeSkin, which gives a close, but still flexible fit. To add to that it had a newly constructed sole, with a “split-toe” function, which isolated the energy you generate in your first metatarsal and gave you increased agility and far more free movability.

Nike launched the Hypervenom as “A new breed of attack” and with offensive talent like Rooney, Lewandowski and Neymar all displaying mesmerising football in the Hypevenom this is definitely something the boot has delivered. The latter of the vivacious strikers mentioned has also been allowed to put his personal touch on the silo, with two signature boots. The first saw the light of day at the World Cup, named the Sonho Dourado, while the second, Liquid Diamond, landed in the beginning of 2015.

The Nike Hypervenom was an impressive feat of innovation when it was launched in 2013 and it is crazy to think how in 2015 it feels far from outdated. With the latest Hypervenom Transform Nike have taken the fourth Hypervenom element, style, to new unknown heights and we can’t wait to see what Nike have in store for us with future Hypervenom boots.

The Hypervenom has brought with it a sea of different designs. We have picked some of the most popular and most memorable through the last two years. Which of the many designs has been the coolest in your eyes?
