Upper built for pure speed
The boot is built up around an almost absurdly thin upper, which is made with a thin and light textile material. The material helps keep the weight at an absolute minimum, while still giving a close touch on the ball.
To provide the necessary stability PUMA have incorporated their Speedframe. This construction works as a type of skeleton for the thin upper and helps give structure and support, which is very useful when you perform sharp turns.
An outsole that gives you an explosive kick off
The outsole on the PUMA evoSPEED 1.4 SL is made with a lightweight nylon material. In addition PUMA have equipped the sole with their Speedtrack torsionbar, which we also know from Puma’s sprinter shoes.The Speedtrack technology helps give the right balance between stability in the mid foot and flexibility in the front foot. The perfect balance is also something you get with the stud-configuration, which is made with a mixture of conical and bladed studs. The conical studs make sure you can move quickly, even in the tightest of areas, while the other studs make sure you get an aggressive grip of the pitch, so you can quickly accelerate and reach your top speed fast.
